The ancient city of Ujjain hosted the 2nd Global Spiritual Tourism Conclave, a three-day event commencing August 27, 2024, aimed at advancing India's position in the global spiritual tourism market. The conclave, organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, bringing together delegates from prominent spiritual destinations, including Ayodhya and Varanasi. Participants visited the revered Mahakaleshwar and Kal Bhairav Temples as part of the pilgrimage experience India offers to spiritual seekers. The primary objective of this global spiritual tourism event was to foster dialogue on strengthening infrastructure for spiritual tourism while exploring the integration of emerging technologies. The conclave examined how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR) can enhance digital technology in tourism, particularly in creating immersive pilgrimage experiences for devotees.
 

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has announced the development of a four-lane wildlife corridor worth Rs. 5,500 crore to connect four major tiger reserves in Madhya Pradesh. The ambitious road project will link Kanha, Pench, Bandhavgarh, and Panna tiger reserves, marking a significant milestone in India's wildlife conservation and infrastructure development efforts. The announcement was made during the inauguration of a seven-kilometre flyover in Jabalpur, where Gadkari also revealed plans for a separate Rs 15,000 crore greenfield highway between Bhopal and Jabalpur. These infrastructure projects are expected to substantially boost Madhya Pradesh tourism while providing crucial employment opportunities for local communities.
 

The Uttar Pradesh government has undertaken significant initiatives to boost rural and community-based tourism in the state through the Tourism Conclave 2025 held in Lucknow, followed by comprehensive Familiarization (FAM) trips designed to showcase its rural travel potential. The UP tourism promotion event brought together prominent figures from the industry, including Shree Pandurang Tavde, recognized as the Father of Agri Tourism, and Dr. B.K. Dwivedi from Bio Ved, Shree Tanmay Kishor Agarwal from Living Green Farma, Manish Kumar from Back to Village, and Monika Prakash, Nodal Officer at IITTM. The conclave focused on strategic discussions regarding the advancement of rural tourism initiatives across the state.

In a significant stride towards establishing Odisha as a premier global tourism destination, the state government has entered into three strategic partnerships with renowned institutions to bolster its tourism infrastructure and heritage conservation initiatives. The memorandums of understanding (MoU) were formalized in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, who emphasized the transformative potential of these collaborations. "These strategic partnerships embody our comprehensive approach to heritage conservation, tourism diversification, and expanding Odisha's international presence through systematic implementation," Deputy CM Parida stated during the signing ceremony.

In a significant development for India-China bilateral relations, both nations have agreed to resume direct flights and substantially expand the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage, marking a new chapter in India-China diplomacy after years of strained ties. Following Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's arrival in Delhi, crucial meetings were conducted on Tuesday with top Indian officials, including Hon’ble Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. The discussions, which included the 24th round of special representative talks held on Monday and extended till Tuesday, have yielded substantial outcomes for India-China relations.
