Himachal Kailash Yatra 2025, Begins from July 15th

Published : 14-Jul-2025 05:55:45 PM

The Kinnaur Kailash Yatra 2025 officially begins on July 15, marking the commencement of a 45-day spiritual expedition that will continue until August 30. The Kinner Kailash Yatra, recognised as one of the revered Panch Kailash pilgrimage sites, is now welcoming Lord Shiva devotees for this sacred journey through the picturesque Kinnaur Valley. Only 350 pilgrims are allowed each day to ensure safety and serenity.

For registration and medical requirements, the district administration has implemented stringent measures for the Himachal Kailash Yatra in July 2025, making Kinnaur Yatra registration and a medical certificate mandatory for all participants. Online registration for the pilgrimage commenced on July 11, while offline registration began on July 14 in Tangling village. Pilgrims are required to undergo medical check-ups and pay a green fee of Rs. 200 to participate in this spiritual experience.

The base camp for the Kinner Kailash Yatra has been established at Malling Katta in Tangling, serving as the primary departure point for the pilgrimage. The administration is also evaluating an alternative Purbani Kanda route, which will be considered only after a thorough assessment of its conditions.

Sub-divisional magistrate Amit Kaltaik chaired a comprehensive meeting to review yatra preparations, emphasizing the significance of a spiritual journey to the 79-foot-tall natural rock Shivling formation that attracts thousands of devotees annually. Recognising the challenging terrain and altitude of the Kinnaur Kailash pilgrimage, the administration has deployed a Quick Response Team (QRT) to handle emergencies. Extensive medical facilities have been arranged at strategic locations along the route to ensure pilgrims' safety.

"Basic amenities such as public toilets, solar lighting, clean drinking water, resting shelters, oxygen cylinders, and medical support will be available promptly at various locations," stated SDM Kaltaik. He further urged pilgrims to act responsibly throughout their spiritual journey, emphasising the importance of upholding the sacred nature of the Kinnaur Kailash pilgrimage site.

Also, the health department has been instructed to maintain medical facilities at multiple points throughout the journey. Ganesh Park will be equipped with large oxygen cylinders and a dedicated medical officer, while Parvati Cave will have a paramedical team and smaller oxygen cylinders stationed for immediate assistance. Furthermore, the administration has placed significant emphasis on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene during the pilgrimage. Local panchayats have been directed to extend full cooperation to ensure a smooth conduct of the yatra while preserving the sanctity of this sacred destination.

The Kinnaur Kailash Yatra 2025, with a limited 45-day cap, ensures that this sacred yatra remains exclusive while allowing adequate time for proper arrangements and pilgrim safety measures.
