Bada Char Dham Yatra Packages
The Bada Char Dham, also known as the complete Char Dham Yatra, features pilgrimage sites in all 4 Directions, which include Badrinath in the North, Rameshwaram in the South, Jagannath in the East, and Dwarka in the West. Bada Char Dham refers to a larger circuit of four pilgrimage sites, which include: Dwarka- Dwarka is in Gujarat and is associated with Lord Krishna when Lord Krishna established the city and made it his residence. The best time to visit Dwarka is from November to February. Jagannath- located in the Puri district of Odisha, Jagannath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.. The best time to visit Jagannath is from October to February. Rameswaram- located in the Southern part of Tamil Nadu, Rameswaram is well known for its temples, including Ramanathaswamy temple, which is devoted to Lord Shiva. After Lord Rama established the Lingam here, the best time to visit Rameswaram is also from October to February. Badrinath- Badrinath is part of both Chota Char Dham and Bada Char Dham and is associated with Lord Vishnu. The best time to visit Badrinath is from May to October.
Defined by Adi Shankaracharya, all four Dhams represent different Yugas, with Badrinath representing Sat Yuga, Rameswaram representing Treta Yuga, Dwarka representing Dwapara Yuga, and Jagannath representing Kal Yuga. It is believed that by doing the Bada Char Dham Yatra, one can attain Moksha and get free from the cycle of Birth and Death.
