Adi Kailash Yatra

No, there is no dress code for males and females for the darshan of Adi Kailash Parvat and Om Parvat. It is advisable to wear comfortable clothes on the entire journey.

There are a total of 10 check posts en route to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat where your Inner line permit will be checked. Yatris need to be patient and cooperative while the forces do their work and do the verification.

The time taken at each check post-en-route Adi Kailash & Om Parvat will depend on the size of the group. At each check-post, the authority verifies your documents and maintains a record of the details.

There will be a maximum of 30-35 people in one group on Adi Kailash Om Parvat Yatra. Each group will be accompanied by a Trip To Temples tour coordinator.

Adi Kailash stands seconds in the list of Panch Kailash. Believed as the second abode of Lord Shiva and his family. The Adi Kailash mountain is a replica of Mount Kailash and the place where Lord Shiva meditated for a very long time. According to Mythology when Lord Shiva came from Mount Kailash with his Barat to Marry Mata Parvati to Rudraprayag then Adi Kailash was the first halt of Shiva's Barat.

Spiritual Significance of Adi Kailash:

 It is believed that Rakshash Raj Ravan was Blessed by Ten heads, power and strength here in Adi Kailash after his intense Tapasya to impress Lord Shiva. It is believed that Pandavas and even Adi Shankaracharya visited Kailash Mansarovar via the same route and did Tapasya here. It is a blessing in itself to be able to walk on the same spiritual path on which many Rishis and Munis went. It is believed that Darshan of Adi Kailash can bring a new approach to your Life and purify your karmic cycle.

OM Parvat
OM Parvat is One of the rare sights ever to have been found. One can find a natural image of OM being imprinted on OM mountain being beautifully highlighted by snow. According to Puranas, there are a total of eight such naturally existing structures of OM yet only one has been found that exists in the shared borders of three countries, Nepal China and India. As a matter of fact, the front face of OM can be witnessed only the from Indian side from Nabhidang Viewpoint(4300 metres).

Before the construction of new road people use to trek a total of 200 km distance from dharchula to dharchula and yatra was completely done by walking. Earlier few mountaineering groups were given permission/permit to scale Holy Adi kailash but now after the building of new roads and awareness among locals, the administration as well as local people do not support climbing over the holy peak of Adi Kailash. You can trek up to Gauri Kund and touch the feet of the Adi Kailash and receive the blessings of Lord Shiva but you cannot climb over it.

 Adi Kailash is the second home of Lord shiva and his family. When Shiva Barat started from Mount Kailash towards Rudraprayag for the Shiva’s marriage, the very first halt taken by them was in Adi Kailash. It is believed that Lord Shiva taught the art and the principles of Yoga to Rishis and sages here and was given the title of Adi Yogi. It is because of this reason, this mountain is knwon as Adi Kailash. Even Ravan did Tapsya and performed Penance here to please Shiva and was blessed with 10 heads, numerous power and strength. Just Darshan of Adi Kailash can cleanse your Karmic Cycle.

OM Parvat is one of the rarest wonders of the world. OM is the sound of the Universe .It is revered and considered Holy word in Hinduism,Buddhism,Jainism. The Symbol of OM  (ॐ) can be naturally witnessed and seen taking a shape in the mountain. It is built without any human intervention. One can witness the full honour of OM on clear weather. A sense of connectivity is experienced by people when they are in the region (Nabhidhang) looking at OM. Om parvat images and om parvat photos do look surreal when you look them on the internet and indeed it is something which looks out of the world. But OM parvat in Uttarakhand is 100% real and authentic.

Shared by three countries Nepal ,China and Tibet .OM mountain can be seen clearly only from India. Nabhidhang is the viewpoint which is in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state. Natural OM is seen on the OM mountain/OM parvat with snow highlighting it. One can feel the divine OM mantra 432 hz being echoed in the region with the presence of it. Secret/Rahsya of OM Parvat:
It is the only mountain among such eight mountains in India that has been discovered with the natural imprint of OM in it..The rehsya of om parvat or secret of om parvat is that it is the natural existing mountain with the shape of OM  in it without any human intervention. .OM is the sound of universe and om parvat is the personification of it.

Om parvat Mountain is in India with its shared territories in Nepal and China with the naturally formed shape of OM in it. It is visible from the Indian side where as Kailash Mansarovar is First in Panch Kailash in Tibet China and is considered as the abode of Lord Shiva.

Adi Kailash stands tall at a height of 5945 meters above sea level  near to the Indo-Tibet border with the last village of India, Kuti.Om Parvat stands at the height of 5543 meters above sea level on the Indo-Nepal border.
The highest altitude on the Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra up to which people go on is Parvati Sarovar which is 4501 meters above sea level and Nabhidang view point for OM Parvat 4300 metre.

According to the Puranas, Adi Kailash has great importance as it was the main stoppage of Lord Shiva’s marriage barat with Mata Parvati, which originated from Kailash Parvat Mansarovar. It is said that the demon king Ravana who was one of the most fierce devotees of Lord Shiva meditated here for a very long period and later was blessed with immense power, strength, and 10 heads. Not only Ravana but as history says the Pandava Brothers and the Sage Vyas also meditated here at Adi Kailash for a very long time.

Shiva and Shiva Parivar It has been said in Hindu mythology that Adi Kailash is the abode of Shiva- Parvati Pariwar. It is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva did Tapasya and this place is also considered to be the first stoppage of the Shiva Parvati Barat.
