Inner line Permit, Adi Kailash Permit and OM Parvat Permit are different names of the same permit which is issued by Dharchula SDM during Adi kailash and OM Parvat Yatra.The permit is issued with the details such as Name, Father's name, age, permit number and the specified number of days which you can spend in the regions above Dharchula. Adi Kailash Permit is issued when the yatra starts and needs to be shown at various check posts en-route Adi Kailash and OM Parvat. There are total of 10 check posts where it is shown and verified. Usually It takes around 15-20 minutes to verify permit of whole group. Pilgrims need to be cooperative and patient while the authorities do their work.

Do we require VISA and Passport to go on Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra?

One does not require a VISA to go on Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra. A passport is not necessary but if you have it then you will be exempted from Police verification.

Is there any special permit required for Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra?

Since we are travelling in the Indo-Tibet border area, so a permit known as an Inner line permit is required to visit Adi Kailash & Om Parvat. Permits for both Adi Kailash and OM Parvat are issued by SDM in Dharchula during the yatra and are necessary to visit Adi Kailash and OM Parvat.

Do we require any documents for Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra? What are they?

There are a few documents required for Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra such as:

  • Valid Government Verified ID proof 2-3 Passport size photos
  • Physical fitness certificate issued by MBBS Doctor
  •  Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra notarized affidavit on Rs 30 stamp paper
  • Police Verification Form ( Photocopy of a Passport can also be used in the place of Police Verification if available)
  • Covid -19 Vaccination Certificate
  • Inner-line permit (applied by Trip To Temples)
