You will be provided with a list of things by Trip to Temples that are allowed and you can carry them with you on the Adi Kailash Om Parvat Yatra one month before the date of departure.

How many clothes do I need to carry on Adi Kailash and Om Parvat yatra?
It is advisable to carry comfortable clothes on Adi Kailash & Om Parvat yatra, which may include:
  • Cotton/ Jeans pants - 3 nos
  • Shirt / T-shirt full sleeves - 6 nos
  • Socks - cotton and woollen
  • Raincoat - lightweight
  • Pullover
  • Scarf / Muffler / Cap
  • Face -mask
  • Thermal Inner wear - 2 sets
  • Tracksuit - 1 pair
  • Woollen and Leather Gloves - 1 pair
  • Jacket - good quality
  • Woolen sweater with high neck
  • Wind Cheater Jacket
What are the important items that one must carry for Adi Kailash & Om Parvat yatra?

A few important items that one must carry on Adi Kailash Om Parvat Yatra- large plastic sheets for waterproofing your luggage, LED Torchlight, toilet paper soap, wet napkins, toothbrush & paste, lip balm, sunblock cream, snow glasses/sunglasses, hot water bottle, mobile charger & power bank, multipurpose knife, etc.

Am I allowed to carry cigarettes and tobacco on Adi Kailash & Om Parvat yatra?

Although there is no restriction on carrying cigarettes and tobacco, it is advisable not to carry such things on Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra because firstly Adi Kailash Om Parvat is a pilgrimage tour and secondly fellow tourists may not be comfortable with the same. It is also advisable to avoid such things at high altitudes.

What medicines pilgrims must carry on Adi Kailash & Om Parvat yatra?

Generally people do not feel the requirement of medicines during Adi Kailash and OM Parvat Yatra. However, to be extra safe, it is advisable to carry some of the basic medicines. First of all it is essential to carry your regular medicines (if any) such as BP, Sugar, etc. Trip To Temples also recommends you to consult your doctor and carry some general medicines such as:

  • Pain killers
  • Cough syrup
  • Mosquito repellent cream
  • Diamox
  • Avomine
  • Paracetamol
  • Volini spray 
How much luggage can we carry in Adi Kailash Yatra? Is there any weight limitation?

There is no weight limitation for the luggage which you can carry for The Adi Kailash and OM Parvat Yatra.Before your yatra date Trip TO Temples will share the list of items you need to carry for the yatra.It Is advisable not to carry heavy luggage for your own convenience as resources are limited in the above region and you might have to carry your own luggage Free Duffle bag,backpack ,cap ,Adi Kailash T-shirt( “Iam Adi kailashi”) written on it and key ring will be provided by Trip TO Temples to all the yatris in Dharchula. Yatris leave excess luggage in Dharchula and only carry necessary luggage of 3 days in the Duffle bags( with unique number for identification) and backpack provided as they are easy to carry and handle during yatra.While returning back yatris re-collects their remaining luggage from dharchula and proceeds to Chaukori/Didihat.

Do I need to carry my trekking equipment on Adi Kailash & Om Parvat yatra?

You just need to carry good quality walking/ jogging shoes that you regularly use on Adi Kailash and Om Parvat yatra. In case you have a knee problem then you can carry a stick for your support.

Can I carry my food items on Adi Kailash & Om Parvat yatra?

Yes, you can carry your food items on Adi Kailash Om Parvat yatra. However, TTT will take care of your meals. You will be provided freshly cooked pure veg no onion no garlic meals three times a day on Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra.

What type of luggage bag should I bring on the Adi Kailash & Om Parvat yatra?

One large duffle bag with a cover for luggage and one small backpack to keep essentials during trekking. It is advisable not to carry trolley bags, airbags, briefcases or bags with tires for your own comfort as you might have to carry your bag and it might be difficult for you to carry this kind of luggage on Adi Kailash Om Parvat Yatra.
