Adi Kailash is a place of serenity where Lord Shiva once resided. Not less than a wonder, the OM Parvat is located at three country borders; India, Nepal and Tibet. To get blessings from the Adi Kailash-vasi Lord Shiva, many pilgrims visit to Adi Kailash and to glorify the yatra Om Parvat darshan is also done during the same yatra duration. Adi Kailash and OM Parvat both are accessible only through the Kumaon Region of Uttarakhand, India. In Ancient times, many hermits and sages visited Adi Kailash and OM Parvat en route to visiting Kailash Mansarovar. Later trekking was developed for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from India, that trekking trail was also used for Adi Kailash Yatra trek. The Adi Kailash yatra trek distance used to be 200 km from Dharchula till the year 2019. Post covid the yatra was halted and the trekking route missed its maintenance and has become the Old Route for Adi Kailash Yatra which is not in use.
