The medical and rescue charges will entirely depend on the situation which has to be borne by the tourist. There are basic army and government hospitals available which are affordable. Since no separate ambulance will be available, therefore the 4x4 vehicle will be used as an ambulance in case of an emergency which may cost between Rs 30 to 40 thousand.

Although everything such as accommodation, meals, transportation, Inner line permit, and tour guides is included in the Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra Package provided by TTT, however, it is advisable to carry liquid cash for emergencies because Google pay & UPI won’t be working due to no network and ATMs are not available after Dharchula on Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra route. You can carry approx Rs. 10 to 25 thousand for your own convenience.

The Cost of Adi Kailash Yatra & Om Parvat Yatra packages depends on the yatra starting point, transport mode, stay type & inclusions of meals. One needs to understand cost differences with consideration of the service provided & hold in managing the uncertainties. Though roads are there,still there are few challenges that if not managed while planning for the yatra then may result in major problems and that too without mobile connectivity. Accommodation:

Kathgodam to Dharchula and Dharchula to kathgodam- Lodging and stay of all yatris are done in different hotels/rest-houses up to Dharchula keeping in mind proper hygiene, safety and security of each individual. No single-room facility is provided during yatra and yatris are supposed to live in double, triple and quad sharing.

Dharchula to Dharchula- After Dharchula there are no hotels and rest -houses to be found due to the terrain and limited resources of the region.Lodging of the yatris will be organised in homestays/camps in Gunji/Napalchu/Nabi in multiple sharing. The region is still under development so no 2-star or 3-star hotels are to be found.Yet Trip to Temples will try its level best to provide yatris with the best of the services in the region.

Meals in Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra: Pure veg-meal without onion and garlic is served throughout the yatra of 8 days and 7 nights with proper hygiene.Three times nutritious north Indian meal is served during the yatra, consumption of non-veg during the yatra is strictly prohibited and is not entertained.

Mobile Connectivity in Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra: As of now there is no mobile connectivity after Dharchula. Most of the local companies send pilgrims with local drivers & 1-2 laborers who don't have any professional experience & exposure. They were also helpless in any adverse situation as there is no mobile connectivity & most of the things had to be managed locally. Anticipating such probability, Trip To Temples sends its tour guide with funds for each group in 2021. Now to ensure a better experience, Trip To Temples has planned to keep a walkie-talkie in each group with a range to contact the next /previous base camp.

Transportation in Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra: Transportation is the area of concern for Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra. Limited commercial vehicles are available in that area & mostly are not ready to go until & unless you have a prior agreement for the whole season with volume. Beyond Dharchula, 4x4 Bolero is the only option. Trip To Temples is in progress for having a prior agreement with vehicle owners & serving a huge volume. Going by own private vehicle (2 wheel drive vehicle is not feasible in the territory) is also not recommended because roads are not smooth & in case of vehicle breakdown you may get stuck without any mechanic nearby & no mobile connectivity. Since the population is very less in hilly areas & resides in remote villages, getting local support is also a challenge. That's the reason, Trip To Temples is planning for backup support & walkie-talkie connectivity.

Medical facility in Adi Kailash Om Parvat Yatra: The tour coordinator of Trip to Temple carries a basic medical kit and oxygen cylinder with them just in case of an emergency situation. oxygen cylinders are kept in home stays and infrastructures to help with oxygen if someone feels short of breath. You can also find MI rooms of the army and ITBP in the region and they are always ready to help if some medical emergency happens.
