Adi Kailash Yatra FAQs

The market is only available up to Dharchula in the Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra. When you reach Dharchula, you can explore the India side market as well as the Nepal side market by crossing the bridge over the Kali River. You can shop for all kinds of essentials, although the market is not too big.

For the Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra, the road network is maintained well up to Dharchula. Earlier, one needed to trek about 200 km after Dharchula, but soon after the new road construction and development of new road networks, the Adi Kailash Yatra became convenient and comparatively easier. However, roads at some places are not well-pitched, hence it's a bit difficult to trek but it's all motorable now.

Due to a limited availability of infrastructure in the Adi Kailash & Om Parvat regions, toilets are available at a few spots, such as checkpoints, villages, etc, en route to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat. However, properly closed toilets, both Indian as well as Western, are available at all infrastructures and homestays.

Due to limited infrastructure, there is difficulty in finding toilets en route to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat. Toilets might be available at a few spots such as villages, checkpoints etc. You will get toilets at all the rest-houses and homestays, but they might not be serviceable across the yatra route.

During your stay up to Dharchula, you will be staying in hotels and rest houses, where you can easily find attached washrooms. But after Dharchula, in high altitude regions like Gunji/Nabi/Napalchu, multiple common toilets for men and women are available at all the rest-houses/homestays throughout the Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra.
