Our pilgrimage package to Tamilnadu offers devotees and cultural enthusiasts a chance to explore famous destinations like Meenakshi Devi Temple, Thirumalai Nayak Palace, Pudhu Mandepa, Vandiyar Marianman, Thiruparankundram, Gandhi Memorial, Arulmigu Kallalagar Temple, Sri Koodl Azhagar Temple, Abdul Kalam House, Danuskodi, Sri Adhi Jagannath, Naryani Temple, and more in Kanyakumari. Not to forget the impressive Ramanathaswamy Temple, known for its grand structure, intricate sculptures, and artistic corridors. The primary god revered at the temple is represented by a lingam. Additionally, there is a huge sculpture of Nandi, measuring approximately 17.5 feet in height. Additional gods honored at this location are Goddess Vishalakshi, Parvathavardhini, Lord Vinayaka, Lord Subrahmanya, Utsava idol, Sayanagriha, and Perumal. The temple's origin story is linked to Lord Rama from the ancient Indian tale Ramayana. It is thought that Lord Rama desired to worship Lord Shiva as a form of penance after his victory over the demon king Ravana. He requests Hanuman to fetch a Linga from Kashi. Goddess Sita created a Shivalinga out of sand when Hanuman took longer to return, to enable Rama to perform his prayers. The very same Shiva Linga, named Ramalingam, is said to be venerated at the Ramanathaswamy temple. Hanuman brought the lingam from Kailash, which is named Vishwalingam. There are 22 Theerthams inside the temple where worshippers cleanse themselves to purify their sins.
