Jaggananth Temple in Puri, Odisha, is one of the Bada Char Dham representing the Kal Yuga. It was built in the 12th century. Lord Krishna is worshipped here along with his brother Balarama and sister Subadra. The temple is known for its unique mysteries, like the flag flying in the opposite direction of the wind, the temple doesn't have any shadow whatever time of the day it is, the Mahaprasad of Jagganath temple has never fallen short or been wasted at the end of the day. The temple is situated on the side of the beach, but one can never hear the roar of the waves once one enters the temple. The idols are made of wood, and it is said the Idol of Lord Jagannath is fitted with a heart of Lord Krishna. The wooden idol is changed every 18 years, and the heart or also called Bramhapadhartha, is shifted to the new idol. Every year, Lord Jagganath falls ill for 15 days while staying in isolation, after which a Rath Yatra is done where Lord Jagganath, along with his sister and brother, come out of the temple to bless all with his darshan and to visit Gundicha temple. Only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple during the Rath Yatra, devotees from all over the world take part to have a glimpse of the lord.
