Kailash Kund Trek Tour (3 Night / 4 Days)
Price: ₹35000 ₹On Request
In the serene "Mini Kashmir" of Bhaderwah, Kailash Kund (also known as Kablas) is revered as the sacred abode of Lord Shiva and is deeply entwined with the legend of Vasuki Nag, the serpent deity. According to local folklore, when Vasuki Nag sought a permanent home, he was directed to this glacial lake by Lord Shiva himself. Every year, thousands of devotees carry the Charri Mubarak (holy mace) from the ancient Vasuki Nag Temple to the Kund, seeking purification in its crystal-clear, icy waters.
The trekking trail is a spiritual gallery of the Himalayas. Along the route, pilgrims offer prayers at the Nandi Idol, a natural rock formation resembling Lord Shiva’s eternal companion. As you ascend, the landscape opens up to the Meadows of Seoj Dhar, often compared to the Gulmarg of Jammu for its vast, velvety green expanses. Towering above the lake are the majestic Brahma Peaks I & II and Mount Kablas, standing like silent sentinels guarding the sanctity of the water. For a devotee, this yatra is a test of endurance and a humbling reminder of the raw, untouched beauty of Shakti and Shiva.

Overview
Trip To Temples has carefully planned this four-day sacred Kailash Kund Trek Tour from Jammu to the high-altitude glacial lake of Kailash Kund. This lake, which is spiritually important, is located in the beautiful Doda district near Bhaderwah and is about 12,887 feet above sea level. The best time to do this trek is in the summer and early autumn (July to September), which is also the time of year when people usually go on pilgrimages. The meadows' daytime temperatures range from 15°C to 22°C during these months. At night, the Seoj Dhar campsite can get very cold, with temperatures dropping between 3°C and 8°C. During the winter, the area is hard to get to because of heavy snow and temperatures that drop well below freezing.
This trip is good for the soul and requires a moderate to high level of physical fitness. You will be walking about 13 km (one way) from Chattergala Pass to the alpine meadows of Seoj Dhar. Travellers should be ready to walk for 7 to 8 hours every day because the path goes over mountain ridges and high-altitude terrain. Trip To Temples makes sure you're comfortable by providing experienced trekking guides, cosy campsites, and a helpful ground team. This way, you can focus on the divine "conversation with the mountains."
