It takes two and a half days to complete Mt Kailash Parikrama. On Day 1, you will be taken by bus from Darchen to Yamdwar which is the base for Kailash Parikrama. Breakfast and a packed lunch (light) will be given at Darchen.  After a 10km trek from Yamdwar, you will reach Dhirapuk where you will be given Soup and Dinner. On Day 2, you will start early in the morning from Dirapuk after tea and biscuits for the 22km trek to Zuthulpuk. Packed lunch (light) will be given to have en route. Upon reaching Zuthulphuk, you will be given Soup and Dinner. On Day 3, i.e. the last day of Mt. Kailash Parikrama, after having tea and biscuits you will start for an 8km trek. Upon completing the trek you will be picked up on the bus and you will return to Darchen where food will be provided.
On the Parikrama route, you will also get small food shops where you can buy juices, cup noodles, etc.

 

Three meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) along with tea and soup will be provided by Trip To Temples during the entire Kailash Yatra. The hotels and tourist resthouses are informed in advance so that the meal is prepared and ready before the arrival of Kailash Yatra Group.

If any special occasion of yours happens to fall during Kailash Mansarovar Yatra time and you wish to organize a party/ bhoj during the Kailash Yatra, discuss it with the team of Trip To Temples. Arranging for the same will entirely depend on the availability of resources, however, we will surely do our best.

Since Kailash is a group yatra in which you will be provided freshly cooked three meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) along with tea and soup by our team. There is limited availability of resources, therefore cooking yourself won’t be possible, however, if you are physically fit and wish to cook, you can help our team in the same.

 

Yes, markets and local restaurants are available on the Kailash Yatra route. On the Heli route, you will find restaurants and local markets in Purang Town from where you can do the shopping for Mansarovar lake and Mt. Kailash Parikrama. Similarly, on the overland route, you will find restaurants and local markets in Dongba/ Saga where you can do shopping.

 

We try our best to fulfill the requirements of the Bhole bhakts travelling with us on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. You can get no onion or no garlic food served in the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, however, in case you have any special requirements such as no underground vegetables, then you need to discuss with the team of Trip To Temples beforehand each time a meal is being prepared, we will surely try to arrange something.

Since Kailash Yatra is at a high altitude, it is not recommended for you to keep fast. To avoid any unforeseen circumstances, it is advisable to eat and drink well and keep your stomach full and body warm. The weather can affect your body if you have an empty stomach. However, fresh fruits are easily available, you can buy them from the local market.
