Chardham Yatra

At the time of Chardham Yatra Registration, you have to send an ID proof to prove your identity, fill the application form and deposit the registration amount which is 30% of the total amount. This registration amount will be the part of the package cost only. The remaining amount has to be sent one month before the yatra.

Bring your Identity proof(Adhaar card preferable) during the yatra and a medical fitness certificate will be required one month before the yatra. The medical certificate should be signed by a local MBBS doctor stating that you are physically fit to undertake the Chardham yatra.

There is no age criteria for the Chardham Yatra. If the MBBS doctor gives you the fitness certificate stating you are fir for the yatra then you can undertake the yatra no matter what your age is. 

You can consult your regular doctor and take the medical fitness certificate. If they allow you then you can definitely go for the yatra. However, in the helicopter route, there is an age limit, if you are beyond that weight then there will be extra charges per KG. The best thing you can do is either take the road route or you can start exercising 3 months before the yatra to lose a few kilograms.
