Panch Bhoota Stalam
Located in South India, Panch Bhuta Sthalam Temples refers to the temples of Lord Shiva that symbolise Panch Bhutas: earth, water, fire, air, and ether. Among these temples, four are located in Tamil Nadu and one in Andhra Pradesh. The five Shiva temples are Ekambareshwar Temple, Kanchipuram (Earth), where Shiva Linga is referred to as Privthavi Lingam; Jambukeshwar Temple in Thiruvanaikaval (water), where Goddess Parvati made Shiva Lingam out of water; Anamalaiyar Temple, Thiruvanamalai (Fire), where Shiva Lingam is said to be Agni Lingam; Srikalahasti Temple (Vayu), where the white Shiva Lingam is known as Karpoora Lingam; Thillai Natarajar Temple, Chidambaram (ether/sky), where Shiva Lingam is known as Akasha Linga.
