UP CM Yogi Adityanath to Distribute Subsidies to Kailash Mansarovar Pilgrims in Lucknow on 17th March 2026

In a significant move to support spiritual tourism, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will host a formal ceremony in Lucknow on 17th March 2026 to honour pilgrims who successfully completed the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in 2025. During the event, the Chief Minister is scheduled to distribute ₹1,00,000 subsidy cheques to each eligible traveller personally.

Under the state government's specialised welfare scheme, the subsidy was previously doubled from ₹50,000 to ₹1 Lakh to ease the financial burden of this arduous high-altitude pilgrimage. The upcoming distribution marks the final phase of the 2025 cycle, following a rigorous verification process by the Department of Religious Affairs (Dharmarth Karya).
