Gangtok Lachen and Lachung Tour (5 Night / 6 Days)

Arrival at Bagdogra Airport/New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, transfer to Gangtok.
Upon your arrival in Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim, you will be greeted and transferred to your accommodation. After checking in, you are free to explore at your leisure. Spend an overnight stay at the hotel.

Prepare for an exhilarating day as you embark on a tour of Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir. En route, a charming stop at Kyongnosla allows you to immerse yourself in the lush alpine vegetation. The journey to Tsomgo Lake unveils breathtaking vistas renowned for their ever-changing hues. Subsequently, visit the revered Baba Mandir, a symbol of protection for soldiers stationed in the Eastern Himalayas. After an enriching day, you will be transferred back to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
 

Enroute Sightseeing
After checkout, you will be transferred to the serene village of Lachen. This journey promises mesmerizing sights of verdant valleys, stunning waterfalls, and majestic snow-capped peaks. A brief halt at Chungthang offers a spectacular view of the confluence of the Lachen Chu and Lachung Chu rivers. When you arrive in Lachen, please check into the hotel and relish the tranquil environment for the night.

After breakfast, leave for Gurudongmar Lake (17,200ft), Thangu (13,000 ft.), and Chopta Valley (13,200 ft.). Thangu Valley is a broad valley at the junction of Thangu Chu, Chopta, and Lasur Chu. In the spring end to summer months, Rhododendrons, Primula, and many other Alpine flowers are in full bloom. In the winter months, you can play in the snow or even walk over frozen rivers. The unspoilt beauty of the area will take your breath away. Come back to Lachen for Lunch. After lunch, proceed to Lachung. En route, see the beautiful Twin Waterfalls and Bhim Nala Waterfalls. Arrive in Lachung in the late afternoon or evening & transfer to the hotel. Night stay in Lachung.

Note: 
You can also visit Kalapathar by paying extra to the driver on the spot. Subject to the availability of a permit, it depends on road and weather conditions.
People above the age of 60 with heart and breathing problems, and also the children below the age of 5, unless they sign an undertaking by themselves or their guardian for Gurudongmar Lake.
Foreigners are not allowed to visit Gurudongmar Lake.

After breakfast, proceed to Yumthang(11,800 ft.). En route, visit the famous hot spring. Yumthang is a large valley surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends. In April/ May/ June, the valley erupts in a riot of colors as Rhododendrons, Primula, and many other Alpine Flowers are in full bloom. In the winter months, Yumthang is somber with snow all around and the snow-clad mountains adding to the ethereal beauty. Later, come back to the hotel, have lunch, and then drive back to Gangtok.

You can also visit Katao, Sanglaphu Cho Lake, and Yumesamdong, also known as Zero Point, by paying extra vehicle charges to the driver on the spot.
