Different routes for Kailash Manasarovar Yatra

The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is not for the faint-hearted; it is a challenging expedition to go on. There are different routes available for Kailash Yatra. Two routes are very popular amongst pilgrims, Nathu-la & Lipulekh operated by the Government of India. Moreover, the Hilsa, Kyrong & Lhasa route is operated by Travel agents.

1. According to the route recommended by the Ministry of External Affairs of India, you will encounter significant trekking in Sikkim and Uttarakhand. Please note that the rates are high, fixed by the MEA, and are non-negotiable and non-refundable.
2. Traveling with private operators through Nepal offers more comfort and convenience as compared to the GOI's route. Pilgrims stay in good hotels and are assisted by Sherpas, and with helicopter transfers.
