Trip To Temples Celebrates World Environment Day 2025, Runs Clean-Up Drive Through Noida Sector-18

Published : 06-Jun-2025 06:16:15 PM

Trip To Temples, a leading organization specializing in sustainable religious tourism, marked World Environment Day 2025 with a comprehensive cleanup drive at its Noida office and sacred pilgrimage destinations, including Adi Kailash, simultaneously. It commenced in the morning hours at Sector 18 office in Noida, extending to the pristine mountain regions of Adi Kailash, where the organization was leading its pilgrimage tours. The initiative aimed to address growing concerns of plastic waste accumulation at both corporate and spiritual locations.

“We collected significant amounts of plastic waste, which revealed that even corporate areas with highly educated professionals generate more single-use plastic, cigarette packets, and beverage containers than residential neighborhoods,” observed a company official. The findings highlighted how professionals living away from home often opt for convenient single-use items, creating a substantial environmental impact.

The CEO personally led the cleanup efforts, encouraging colleagues to embrace plastic-free practices beyond the designated day. “This initiative emphasizes maintaining cleanliness as a daily commitment rather than an annual gesture,” he stated while motivating the team. The cleanup extended across multiple areas, including parks, roadside drainage systems, footpaths, parking facilities, and decorative plant installations. The comprehensive approach demonstrated the widespread nature of waste accumulation in urban environments.

Earlier, Trip To Temples has integrated environmental consciousness into their pilgrimage operations. At sacred destinations including Adi Kailash and Vyas Valley, the company conducts regular cleanup drives and promotes thermal bottle usage to reduce single-use plastic consumption among pilgrims, and encourages them to collect water from natural sources rather than purchasing bottled water, thereby minimizing plastic waste at spiritual destinations. “We encourage yatris to be agents of change rather than contributors to the garbage crisis at pilgrimage sites,” emphasized a company spokesperson, highlighting the organization’s commitment to responsible ecotourism.

Beyond cleanup activities, Trip To Temples installed additional waste disposal bins and launched awareness campaigns promoting the Clean India mission. The initiative particularly focuses on educating youth about reducing plastic consumption and proper waste disposal practices. Team members shared valuable insights from the cleanup experience. One colleague emphasized the need for regular environmental drives rather than annual events to foster continuous environmental awareness. Another participant reflected on the impact of cleanup activities: “When we dispose of waste carelessly, it doesn't concern us because we're not directly affected. However, cleaning others’ waste makes us realize the burden we place on others and teaches individual responsibility.”

Also, despite Uttar Pradesh’s reputation for cleanliness, officials noted that improved waste management systems remain necessary for effective environmental protection. The initiative of TTT’s participants concluded with a collective commitment to environmental stewardship, referencing the Dalai Lama’s wisdom: “It is our collective and individual responsibility to preserve and tend to the world in which we all live.”

Trip To Temples encourages individuals and organizations to pledge ongoing environmental responsibility, emphasizing that sustainable practices in religious tourism can serve as a model for broader environmental consciousness across all sectors. The company's integrated approach to combining spiritual journeys with environmental stewardship demonstrates how tourism enterprises can contribute meaningfully to ecological preservation while serving their core mission.
